The 34th annual Omaha Summer Arts Festival filled the streets along downtown Omaha’s Gene Leahy Mall with three days of art, music, children’s activities, food and more.

For years, the Joslyn Art Museum has presented Jazz on the Green, a free concert series featuring some of the best local, regional, and national jazz musicians Thusdays during the early Summer. 

The two-hour concerts are held on Joslyn’s east lawn and the grand staircase. Featuring the best in jazz - from mainstream and fusion to swing, big band, Latin and Cajun/Zydeco music, Jazz on the Green is recognized as one of the most popular free summer events in Omaha.

Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Roundup is a celebration of the Midwest’s heritage, and a chance for the people of Omaha to dress up as cowboys. The four-day event includes a diverse offering of entertainment and family fun. The staple events include the Ak-Sar-Ben Rodeo, the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Livestock Exposition and the Douglas County Fair.

Artists and art lovers reunite each year at Omaha's best juried art fair, the Rockbrook Village Annual Art Fair. The art fair is designed and dedicated to those that create and appreciate quality pieces of all varieties, including glass, jewelry, leather, photography, printmaking, painting, sculpture, wood, ceramics or fiber.

Omaha’s Holiday Lights Festival kicks off with the illumination of over one million twinkling lights on Thanksgiving night. As the centerpiece attraction of the Holiday Lights Festival, over 40 blocks of lights paint an impressive picture in downtown Omaha.

In early June, the best collegiate baseball teams in the nation meet at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium to slug it out for the National Championship. This series is truly an event, with thousands of baseball lovers making the pilgrimage each year. The series is always a sell out, so if you get the chance to catch one of these games, you are in for a real treat.

Taste of Omaha Showcase of the Omaha Area's Best Restaurants The Festival boils down to one thing, and that’s the food. Restaurants of all varieties will pitch their tents at the “Taste of Omaha” grounds for 3 days, cooking the specialty items that have made them some of the favorites in the Omaha area.

The Omaha Film Festival sets out to deliver a fresh and innovative cinema experience through the exhibition of independent film and the growth of its Film Education Initiative program and has become a staple of Omaha’s developing cultural identity.


Omaha Riverfront Jazz and Blues Festival

The rich smooth sounds of jazz and blues will permeate through Downtown Omaha as national, regional and local artist will perform some of the greatest music jazz and blues has to offer. Plenty of food and beverage will be available for purchase!

The Cox Classic, a Nationwide Tour event, boasts some of the best up-and-coming professional golfers as well as many known former PGA Tour players. Attendance at the event averages between 82,000 and 110,000 for the week, which includes a youth clinic, two pro-am events as well as the Nationwide Tour event.
